Clay Clark started his first business when he was a freshman in college and he was able to grow that business to a multimillion dollar entertainment business. He decided to take his business skills and his business knowledge and partner up with to bring his vision into a reality. Both of them brought different strengths and different perspectives when it came to the barbershop. It all started with an idea. Before we ever even consider providing Lakewood Colorado haircuts we want to be able to build the system and scalable business that catered to men across the country. We started with what men were looking for and what men were not able to find a corner barbershops. We started studying other barbershops and we wanted to see what other grooming professionals were doing. The biggest issue that we saw was that there was a lack of community and a lack of professional skill happening from the barbers. We decided then and there that we are only get a higher group professionals who believed in the vision and believed in the concept of over delivering for clients when they walks to the door.
We also took a look at the decoration and the style of each barbershop. This was before we started making and providing Lakewood Colorado haircuts. We wanted to have a barbershop that not only provided great service but also was catered specifically to men when it came to aesthetics and to what the inside looks like. We decided to go with a rustic look that turned into being in the same vein of a man cave. We wanted to create a place that men would’ve made for themselves and a place that they would enjoy hanging out with other men.
The third thing that we found was there was a lack of community among the other barbershops. The old-fashioned barbershops thrived upon quality service and building community of like-minded individuals. Men would spend hours upon hours of the barbershop because that’s where everybody hung out. We wanted to create that same sense of community and the same connections are all the men who walk through our doors. You’re able to network and build relationship with men you didn’t even know existed in the same city. You never know who you’re going to be sitting across from when you come and receive your haircut here in Colorado.
This brand is being recognized nationally by men and men can’t wait to see more barbershops like ours open up across the country.
